Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting people against harmful diseases. It helps individuals and the wider community by reducing the spread of preventable diseases.

Primary Health Tasmania supports the Australian Government’s Immunise Australia Program by working with general practice to improve and maintain immunisation coverage rates in the state.

Coverage rates in Tasmania have steadily increased and are at their highest levels ever, with 94.99% of five year olds fully immunised.
