More than 300 health professionals from across Tasmania recently took part in our 2019 Immunisation Update events in Hobart, Burnie and Launceston.
Dr Leanne Jones, GP director of the Immunisation Coalition, provided an update on the annual Australian influenza statistics, an overview of influenza, vaccine, chronic conditions, those most at risk and practice points.
Dr Faline Howes, clinical director of the Communicable Disease Prevention Unit, Population Health Service clinical nurse consultant Nikole Lane and public health registrar Dr Anton Forsyth collectively presented on topics including meningococcal ACWY, pertussis, measles, yellow fever, Tasmania’s immunisation strategy and more.
