*NOW CLOSED* Primary Health Tasmania supporting local nurses transitioning to primary health care

Posted on June 4, 2020

This year, for the first time, Primary Health Tasmania is providing funding for up to 15 Tasmanian places for nurses in the Australian Primary Care Nurses (APNA) 12-month Transition to Practice program.

This is in response to demand which last year saw many nurses miss out.

The 12-month program is for nurses who have recently graduated, experienced nurses who have transitioned into primary health care, and nurses who are between jobs due to COVID-19 and wish to work in primary health care.

The support from Primary Health Tasmania will allow up to 15 Tasmanian nurses an opportunity to access education, support and mentoring under this program.

APNA is also seeking experienced Tasmanian primary healthcare nurses to be mentors. Remuneration is provided.

Applications for applicants and mentors close on 19 June.
