Booking a COVID-19 vaccination
Posted on June 9, 2021
COVID-19 vaccination bookings are currently open for Tasmanians aged 40 and over as well as some other groups of people, such as those with underlying medical conditions and healthcare workers.
All Tasmanians aged 16 and over will have the opportunity to be vaccinated in coming months.
To see where you can get your vaccination, go to the vaccination section of the Tasmanian Government’s coronavirus website. If you don’t have online access, you can call the Tasmanian Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738.
Free COVID-19 vaccinations are available in a number of ways.
- Your regular general practice may be offering COVID-19 vaccinations. You could check their website or give them a call.
- The State Government is running community clinics across the state. Up-to-date location and booking details are on the coronavirus website.
- Australian Government-funded respiratory clinics are providing vaccinations in Hobart, Launceston and St Helens. Again, go to the coronavirus website for details.
If you work in a Tasmanian general practice, allied health practice or aged care facility you can call the Public Health Hotline to make an appointment, identifying yourself as a healthcare or aged care worker.
Testing is still encouraged for people with cold and flu-like symptoms. Testing options are on the coronavirus website here.
