*NOW CLOSED* General practice recruitment and retention grants

Posted on August 11, 2022

General practices in north and north west Tasmania can apply for grant funding to improve their ability to attract and retain GPs.

Primary Health Tasmania (Tasmania PHN) has received Australian Government funding to address GP recruitment and retention issues in north and north west Tasmania.

We have been working in partnership with Tasmanian rural workforce agency HR+ and the Rural Doctors Association of Tasmania to better understand the barriers to accessing GP services in these regions, and identify possible solutions.

In response to consultation, we have commissioned development of the AWARE audit tool, designed to help practices in regional, rural and remote areas identify key issues affecting their ability to recruit and retain GPs.

General practices in north and north west Tasmania can apply for grant funding to improve an area of development identified through use of the AWARE tool.

Grant applications close on 25 November. Read more on our engagement portal.
