Is your practice registered for PIP IHI? It is essential that the practice always has at least 2 staff members (one must be a GP) employed at the practice with appropriate cultural awareness training.
Come Walk With Us is a cultural awareness program developed by the University of Tasmania under consultation with Tasmanian Aboriginal advisors and their community members. The workshop is facilitated by Reconciliation Tasmania employees, will enable participants to gain cross cultural skills and to integrate Aboriginal issues across their practices and communities. Participants are invited to engage in hands on activities that will give them a greater awareness of past issues and their significance to current and future outcomes for Aboriginal Tasmanians.
