Following the launch of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program on 1 July 2025, this second session in our two-part webinar series, which will explore the broader clinical implications of low-dose CT screening.
This session is designed for general practitioners, and it will offer practical insights into the interpretation and management of additional findings identified during lung cancer screening.
There will be presentations and an opportunity for discussion with colleagues in radiology, respiratory and cardiology at this event.
Dr Robin Harle will provide a review of the first 8 weeks of screening activity, including participation trends, early detection outcomes, and how incidental findings are being reported and managed.
Dr Miloš Nikolić will provide an overview on common respiratory findings such as emphysema, their implications for patient care, and how to approach follow-up.
Dr Andrew Black will discuss cardiology related additional findings with a focus on coronary artery calcification findings on CT, their significance in cardiovascular risk assessment, and integration into preventive care strategies.

Speaker Information:
Dr Robin Harle is a Radiologist working in both public and private in Hobart. He works at the Royal Hobart Hospital and at Radiology Tasmania.
He qualified as a Radiologist last century, training in Tasmania after graduating with his MBBS from the University of Western Australia. He has an interest in Thoracic Radiology, running the Respiratory MDM and the Interstitial Lung Disease MDM at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
He has been involved with the RANZCR and was on the Additional Findings Committee of the RANZCR for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.
He has previously been a clinical Lecturer at the University of Tasmania, involved with medical student teaching. He continues to be involved with radiology registrar training, both in public and private.
He is currently Co-Chief Medical Officer for Integral Diagnostics.
Dr Miloš Nikolić is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine specialist, working at the Royal Hobart Hospital and in private practice in Hobart. He graduated from UTAS and completed training in Hobart and Victoria. He has an interest in lung cancer diagnostics, and is co-chair of the weekly Royal Hobart Hospital Thoracic Oncology MDM. He is the Lung Cancer Screening Respiratory Lead at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Dr Andrew Black is a senior staff specialist interventional cardiologist at the Royal Hobart Hospital and senior adjunct researcher at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research. Andrew is the clinical lead of the Tasmanian STEMI Network and holds leadership positions with national clinical quality registries for coronary intervention. He is a member of the RACP Advanced Training Committee in Cardiology, the Australian Atherosclerosis Society Expert Advisory Panel and Familial Hypercholesterolemia Australasia Professional Advisory Body.
