The event will provide all practice staff the skills and resources to develop an individualised self-care and mental wellbeing plan that encompasses activities to enhance physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health on a daily basis and will explore the concept of self-care and mental wellbeing.

The aim of the workshop is for participants to identify personal signs of stress and struggles, to develop a self-care and mental wellbeing plan together with identifying personal supports and resources and to create simple strategies that can be used to manage individual stress levels on an everyday basis.

Through completion of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Identify what self-care and mental wellbeing is;
  • Recognise the important of setting boundaries
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how self-talk influences our opinion of ourselves and the way in which we talk to others;
  • Recognise and identify personal stressors and struggles;
  • Identify self-care strategies that will enhance wellbeing on a physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual level;
  • Recognise and identify supportive people within their lives;
  • Identify a list of community resources they can use for their own self-care; and
  • Develop a personalised self-care and mental wellbeing plan.
