Primary Health Matters November 2021 issue out now!

Posted on November 1, 2021

The November 2021 edition of Primary Health Tasmania’s twice-yearly magazine, Primary Health Matters, is out now, featuring stories that celebrate the theme of collaboration.

This is the 15th issue of Primary Health Matters, and includes interviews with real Tasmanians who are benefitting from primary health services supported by Primary Health Tasmania with Australian Government funding.

These include Charlie*, an Aboriginal man living in southern Tasmania who, before he engaged with Karadi Aboriginal Corporation and Baptcare, was in severe mental and housing distress, as well as Eliza Williams, who was able to get her young daughter Vivienne the after-hours care she needed for an ear infection with the support of GP Assist.

We also chat to Primary Health Tasmania’s own Sal Bucksey about an innovative new service model for managing chronic conditions in the community in northern Tasmania, and Martina Wyss about a health-literate approach to the work of health literacy itself, with TasCOSS and the Tasmanian Department of Health.

You can read these stories, and more, here.
