Latest Tasmanian health needs assessment report update

Primary Health Tasmania’s latest health needs assessment report (for 2025-28) has been updated.

Developed by our Health Strategy and Performance team – including clinical epidemiologists, a clinical epidemiologist evaluator, health researchers, a biostatistician, and a health data analyst – the report provides a snapshot of Tasmanian health trends by noting areas of improvement, as well as those that continue to pose a challenge to the wellbeing of local populations.

We use this report in a range ways, including to help inform the primary healthcare services we commission to support local communities.
