Snapshot of priority populations in Tasmania

Primary Health Tasmania’s Snapshot of priority populations in Tasmania gives an overview of health data and information for the following priority population groups:

  • older people
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • multicultural communities
  • LGBTIQA+ people
  • people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • people with disability
  • people living in rural and remote areas
  • people experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage
  • children and young people.

This resource will support the understanding of healthcare providers, communities, system partners, and consumers about current population-specific health data and information.

It highlights the activity that Primary Health Tasmania is involved in to support these priority populations and includes links to useful resources and information about the social care and health needs of these groups.
